What LizArk Roads Pro does
LizArk Roads Pro turns lines, paths, CAD geometry, or CSV data into complete road corridors inside SketchUp. It builds carriageways, kerbs, footpaths, lane markings, zebra crossings, signs, junctions, roundabouts, and cul-de-sacs as grouped, tag-organized geometry on the XRP-Roads layer.
Drawing a road
Launch Draw Road and click the start point. Add points to define the centerline. Press Enter, double-click, or Esc to finish. Hold Shift to lock straight segments, press Tab to toggle turn mode, and press J to switch between line and 3-point arc mode. The cursor snaps to existing XRP road endpoints so you can continue networks cleanly.
Generate from path, CAD, or CSV
Select SketchUp edges, CAD-layer lines, or load a CSV with X,Y,Z columns. Choose whether the path represents a centerline or a road edge. The generator handles branch paths, creates junctions automatically, and detects circular paths as roundabouts.
Corridor settings
- Road: lanes, lane width, thickness, texture scale, terrain draping.
- Kerbs: enable per side, width, height, colors, dropped ends.
- Footpaths: width, thickness, tile patterns, cycle lane, tactile paving.
- Markings: dashed / solid / double lines, stop lines, speed bumps, parking bays.
- Median: width, height, on/off.
Junctions, roundabouts & terminals
Use the Intersection Generator to click two crossing roads or auto-detect all crossings. The Roundabout Generator places a center point and drags a radius; it creates islands, kerbs, and entry/exit markings with configurable lanes and entry angles. The Cul-de-sac/Terminus tool closes road ends with circular bulbs or hammerhead turns.
Reports & export
Open the Road Network Dashboard to review road names, lengths, lanes, and total network length. Export a CSV quantity report with centerline length, road area, footpath area, and lane counts, or export an AutoCAD R12 DXF centerline file in meters.
Editing a road
Select an existing XRP road and use Edit Selected Road to re-apply current settings, or use Edit Road Nodes to drag centerline vertices and reshape the corridor. Regeneration preserves connected junctions and markings based on the current settings.
