What Skirting Generator does
Skirting Generator adds finish baseboards, dados, and wall trims along room perimeters or selected wall faces. It creates clean, continuous strips that follow wall edges, automatically miters corners, and respects door and window openings so the skirting stops and resumes in the right places.
Workflow
- Activate Skirting Generator and choose Room Mode or Wall Mode.
- Click inside a closed room or select the wall faces you want to trim.
- Set the skirting height, thickness, floor offset, and profile style.
- Pick a material and click Generate to place the skirting as a grouped component.
Dialog controls
Height and thickness - type exact dimensions or pick from common finish presets such as 75 mm, 100 mm, or 150 mm skirtings.
Profile - choose a simple rectangle, chamfered, rounded, or routed profile for the skirting edge.
Floor offset - raise or lower the skirting bottom relative to the room floor level.
Material - assign wood, tile, stone, or paint materials before generation.
Tips
Use Room Mode to generate skirting around the entire perimeter in one action, including return miters.
If openings change later, regenerate the skirting or use Edit Opening to keep reveals consistent.
Generated skirting is placed on the Finish layer and does not affect host wall geometry.
