What Draw Grill does
Draw Grill is a two-point rectangle tool for marking the area where a grill should be generated. You can either click two opposite corners directly on a face, or select a face first and trigger the tool from the right-click context menu. Once the rectangle is confirmed, the Grill Generator dialog opens so you can choose the grill pattern and parameters.
Two-click workflow
- First click - sets one corner of the grill area on a face.
- Second click - sets the opposite corner. Both clicks must be on the same face.
- Live preview - a blue rectangle shows the area before you confirm.
- Generate - the Grill Generator dialog appears to produce the actual grill geometry.
Requirements
Both pick points must lie on the same face. If the second point is on a different face, the tool beeps and the status bar reminds you to stay on the same face. If you click outside any face, the tool asks you to click directly on a face.
