What Draw Window does
Draw Window creates wall openings and matching window assemblies. It supports many window categories, including casement, UPVC sliding, Indian teak, French, hung, awning, panoramic, and picture windows. You can place new windows or edit an existing generated window by selecting it and reopening the tool.
Size templates
- Small - 24" x 36"
- Medium - 36" x 48"
- Large - 48" x 60"
- French - 72" x 80"
Window categories
- Casement - side-hinged window with frame profile, finish, glass type, and opening state.
- UPVC Sliding (2-Track) - two-panel sliding window.
- UPVC Sliding (3-Track) - three-panel sliding window for wider openings.
- Indian Window - traditional teak shutter window with MS grill, sash count, finish, and shutter placement.
- Standard, French, Sliding, Hung, Awning, Panoramic, Picture - additional generator-driven window types.
Window Library dialog
The dialog includes a unit toggle (mm, in, ft, m), category selection, placement position, parameters, and chejja options. Parameters are specific to the chosen category: width, height, frame profile, opening state, finishes, glass tint, sash count, grill style, etc.
Chejja / Chajja sun shade
Add a projecting sun shade above the window. Choose flat, sloped, L-type, or box profile, and set projection and thickness. The chejja is placed only when enabled and the host wall is valid.
Placing a window
Click a wall face to place the window. The tool automatically determines orientation, applies placement offset (outer face, centre, or inner face), and cuts a through-opening. If the current type supports library generation, it builds the frame, sash, glass, and hardware as a grouped assembly. Curved walls are handled with boolean subtraction.
