What Edit Opening does
Edit Opening is a custom opening cutter. It previews and cuts rectangle, circle, arch, triangle, hexagon, pencil-drawn, text, and array profiles through supported LizArk building surfaces. It can resolve managed plaster back to its source wall and cut both layers.
Opening workflow
- Launch Edit Opening and choose the profile in its dialog.
- Set width, height, sill, array rows and columns, or text options as required.
- Hover a supported wall or horizontal building surface to preview the cut.
- Click to cut. Pencil mode accepts a custom closed path and finishes with Enter, double-click, or drag release.
Controls
Number and letter keys select the six primary profile shapes. Brackets cycle profiles, arrows change width or height by 6 inches, and the dialog unit toggle switches millimetres or inches.
Horizontal floors and slabs are detected automatically. Hold Shift as a fallback when an ambiguous horizontal surface is not routed correctly.
Tips
On multi-leaf walls, LizArk verifies every expected leaf before committing the cut.
Pencil paths need at least three points and cannot self-intersect.
Use Free Placement when the profile should be centered on the picked point instead of using a sill datum.
Text in Surface mode can create surface text without a through-cut.
