LizArk Move Tool

Move hosted openings safely or reposition recognized LizArk building and site objects with live, exact control.

1

Activate

Launch Move Tool from the LizArk toolbar.

2

Pick an object

Click a supported LizArk opening or generated object.

3

Place precisely

Drag, nudge, type a value, then click or press Enter.

What Move Tool does

Move Tool has two coordinated behaviors. Doors, windows, ventilators, gates, and panels move through a host-aware workflow that rebuilds the opening cut and keeps linked chejja or skirting updates in sync. Other generated objects use direct movement on the model plane.

Direct movement supports beams, columns, footings, stairs, floors, slabs, roofs, railings, grills, skirting, chejja, rooms, roads, parapet walls, roundabouts, cul-de-sacs, and road signs when the object carries recognized LizArk data.

Move workflow

  • Launch the tool and click a supported LizArk object, or select one before activating the tool.
  • Hosted openings preview along their wall. Direct-move objects preview on the active model plane.
  • Click to confirm, use arrow keys to nudge, or type an exact distance in the VCB.
  • For openings, LizArk regenerates the host cut and related assembly at the new position.

Controls

Press Shift to toggle vertical movement. Arrow keys nudge the preview, Tab cycles the move increment, and F9 opens a custom increment prompt.

Type a distance or use explicit forms such as sill=, top=, left=, or right=. Press Enter to commit the current preview.

Tips

Move Tool preserves the parameters of hosted openings. Use Resize Opening or Edit Opening when dimensions or assembly details need to change.

Linked chejja can follow supported doors, windows, and ventilators when that behavior is enabled.

Road-owned Web Draw objects are protected from unsafe partial rebuilding when road entities make the move ambiguous.
