Place your own component into a wall and cut a matching rectangular or arched opening.

Select one component

Select exactly one component or group to use as the placement template.

Activate

Launch Place Custom Component and choose punch shape or orientation if needed.

Click wall

Hover a wall face and click to cut the host and place the component.

What Place Custom Component does

Place Custom Component copies one selected component or group into a LizArk wall and cuts a matching rectangular or arched opening. The selected object's bounds determine the opening width and height, so custom windows, niches, vents, storefront modules, and other authored assemblies can use the managed opening workflow.

Custom component workflow

  • Select exactly one component instance or group before launching the tool.
  • LizArk reads its definition bounds and automatically detects a standard or upright orientation.
  • Hover a supported wall face, including a managed plaster finish over its source wall.
  • Click to cut the host and place a copied instance with the selected sill and orientation.

Controls

Type a length in the Measurements box to set sill height. Tab or S toggles the punch between rectangle and arch. O toggles standard and upright component orientation.

The tool uses a zero sill automatically when the selected definition name contains door; other components start with a 36-inch sill.

Tips

Model the custom component at its intended real size before placement because its definition bounds drive the opening.

Keep one clear width, height, and thickness orientation in the source component for reliable automatic detection.

On plastered walls, pick the finish surface; LizArk resolves the source wall, cuts both layers, and refreshes the managed finish state.
