What UPVC Ventilator Generator does

UPVC Ventilator Generator creates full ventilator assemblies for SketchUp walls. It builds the frame, horizontal louvers, glass zones, exhaust holes, and hardware as a single parametric group. You can also add an optional chejja sun shade above the unit.

Generator workflow

  • Open the UPVC Ventilator Generator dialog and choose a design: full louvers, split louver + exhaust, or exhaust only.
  • Set overall width, height, frame section, louver count, blade angle, and glass thickness.
  • Enable chejja and pick a profile if a sun shade is required.
  • Hover over a wall face and click to cut the opening and insert the assembly.

Dialog controls

Design toggle switches between full louver and split configurations. Exhaust hole diameter appears only when a split or exhaust-only style is selected.

Louver angle usually defaults to 45°. Increase it for more airflow; reduce it for rain protection. Frame finish and glass tint can be changed independently.

Tips

The generator is linked to Draw Ventilator. Settings saved here become defaults for future ventilator placements.

Ventilators are placed near the top of the wall by default. Type a custom sill height into the VCB if you need a different elevation.

Use Resize Chejja later if you want to adjust the sun shade without regenerating the whole ventilator.
